We had culture night yesterday, March 20th. I was really nervous, but I was able to go though it. We all had to be in our individual classes by 5:00, so I went there with my friends. We face painted our faces and our tribe color was blue, so we chose to paint it blue. The symbol we chose was an eagle. Nina T and I painted it on everyones face so that was a great experience too! We all went to the black box to meet our parents/family. When my mom and my sister, Kanna, came to the culture night, I went to them fast as I could. I was in my nervous mode which makes me act and look like I am hyper so my mom told me to calm down. When I was settled, I showed my parents around.
It was time for the actual culture night. We started off with the MCs. The 6-1 went first. They finished with their dance and it was our turn. Which this was the terrible thing. I needed to make a speech. A long speech for Humanities about the Government and abouthe Pachymo tribe. After I finished, then it was Language -> Math -> English which I am in and I am the character Tammy -> Science -> Dance which every member of the Pachymo tribe. Our dance was funny for me because of Kai H, Aska, and Yujin. Then it was 6-3s. After they finished, we all went out.
I was a great experience because we learned more about ancient time and was able to think of our own tribe and name.
Now I will list down all of the subjects and write what I thought about the projects we worked on for this culture night and what I did well and need to improve.
Humanities – For the culture night, we all got ready to make our projects wether you are in a different group (government, religion, art and architecture, and commerce and leisures) We thought of our projects and speeches. I made a carving for my project which tells you if you paid your tax or not. For the speech, because I needed to represent the government and the Pachymo tribe which we made up, I needed to practice a lot and have a lot of energy and excitement which I did not do. I need to get better at saying speeches and not be nervous.
Math – During Math, we went into our groups, (government, religion, art and architecture, and commerce and leisures) and made posters that shows what we chose for numbers (symbols) and how we say the numbers. We, government was
